Today was a special day for me at church.
It started weeks ago, maybe months. Doesn't matter. I've been talking to two of my
co-workers at Toyota about my church and how special it is in my heart. On Wednesday our music minister asked if I could do the special music for the morning service.
I love to sing.
I consider it my gift from God on the account that my parents are deaf.
Anyway that's another story for another time. This story is about Markus Ritchie and Vivian Perkins. I consider them friends as well as co-workers.
I asked them if they would be interested in coming to hear me sing at church. To my amazement they both said yes. To me that's exciting because they get to see a side of me that they normally wouldn't see.
After the service, they both said they enjoyed the service and they enjoyed our preacher's message also.
I would like for you to pray for Vivian as her husband won't have anything to do with church. It's really a sad situation. She wants to go and take her 5 year old son, but she feels weird about going without her husband. I told her it had to start somewhere. Maybe her taking her son every Sunday will get him curious and he will start to go as well.
Prayer for her would be appreciated

I know I said that I would blog more often, oh well !!
Anywho,
last week we saw some amazing storms come through Lexington. Some places got it worse than us. I pray for those who are still recovering from those storms.
Me, I am a huge fan of storms. I like little ones, I like huge ones . I like lightning storms and I like wind storms .
but, I think my favorite kind are the ones that have tornados in them .
To me there is something " majestic " about them .
Yes I said majestic
I've always said that if I was ever on the coast whan a huricane hit, to just tie me to a tree so I could watch it come in .
Stupid ? maybe .
Psychotic ? absolutely
