Isn't it Amazing ?!?!

One of the most amazing things ( this is only my opinion ) that I can think about is that a creature of this size can actually come out of the water.




They say that it is either surveying it's surroundings or just having fun. Some even say that it is getting rid of parasites that have attached themselves to it.

Regardless of the reason, it is still an awesome sight. To think that one of the biggest creatures that God ha sever created can actually become air borne.

My job

After spending an incredible week with Jacob, it was time to go back to work. Not just " back " to work, but back to my " normal " shift. 2ND SHIFT !!! AAAAAHHHHHH!

Actually it not so bad. The people are friendlier and I don't wake up to an alarm clock. The major down side is that I don't get to spend quality time with the family.
I won't get to go to any more soccer practices, but I still get to go to the games.

The pay is also an added bonus. We get more money to work 2nd. Not that money is what I'm working for, but it helps pay the bills :-)

Anywhoo, I'm tired now and want to veg out before I go back to work.

Our last "official" day

Well, today marks the last day of an incredible week. Jacob and I spent the entire week.......alone. No girls!!!!!! I felt like we were members of the
"He-Man Women Haters Club"
(for those of you that ever watched Little Rascals will know what I am referring to).

So, for today we are doing something that is extremely special to me.
We are going fishing !!!!


For those of you that know me very well, you know that I LOVE to fish.
It is one of those things that my Grandfather and Dad passed on to me.

I will pass this on to Jacob as well. The problem with this situation is the fact that Jacob is only 5 years old, and trying to keep a 5 year old still long enough to catch fish is not an easy task. I'm up for the challenge though.

Me and the Dude

This whole week has been nothing but video games and cartoons. Why do ask ? The girls are out of town !
They are on a field trip to Washington D.C. and me and Jacob are hanging like guys do.
Nothing but "un"healthy food and video games to pass the time . Is there a better way for two guys to pass the time ? I think not .
Except for the fact that I have to take Jacob to school and pick him up afterwards .

Jacob is so much fun and I have often said that he has a one track mind . This week is confirming it beyond my wildest dreams .

I love the boy and I am cherishing this week so much .

3 things

I often wonder what everyday things remind me of God.
Well, here are 3 of my favorite things, not necessarily in any order.




There is something about hawks flying around with no worries,except where they will get there next meal, which is easily found by these master hunters.




My next wonder is the tornado. I know how they form so I'm not concerned about that.
What amazes me is from a distant they can be beautiful and quiet. Up close is another matter, loud and destructive.I mean mega destructive.



Last but certainly not least, LIGHTNING !!! These never cease to amaze me. I could see these kind of storms everyday and yet not be bored. They are kind of like snowflakes, no 2 are alike.

Well, there are a few of my favorite things that remind me of how awesome God is .

Interesting, definitely.
Disturbing that I would say that these would remind me of God. absolutely

Who knew ?

Who would have thought that America's newest sensation, American Idol, would kick off the show tonight with the ever popular praise song " Shout to the Lord ".

I got to hand it to them. They DO know who they are dealing with ! Or do they ?

Maybe they were just trying to reach the Christian community to give money for
Aids in Africa, among other things ?

I'm an UNCLE !!!!!! again

Well this past weekend was an interesting one. On top of the Fantasy Baseball Draft that me and some buds had (thanks Holly for the 3 dozen cookies ), My brother and his wife had there first baby.

3 MONTHS EARLY !!!

Yep, I said 3 months early. Her name is Tayte Virginia Coffey



She weighed in at a whopping 2.06 pounds and she's hooked up to some tubes to help her breath, tiny lungs.
Now we wait. Not now! We wait and pray and watch her grow into the beautiful girl that God has created her to be.
I would appreciate your prayers.

Fantasy Baseball

It's that time year. When men will be boys and
fantasize (get your mind out of the gutter) about being a baseball manger.
We had our annual fantasy baseball draft tonight at Jeff Prosser's house. Thanks Jeff, Holly and Bryan for opening your house.
Me and some other guys started with 300 imaginary dollars and "auctioned" players of our choice.
We went around the table and when it was our turn, we tossed out a players name and the bidding started.
You know you are getting to the end of the draft when your last 5 to 8 players are costing you no more than 1 dollar. What a bargain!

Anyway, good luck to you who are fighting for 2ND place because I am planning on winning again. That would make it 2 years in a row.
