I am in the process of reading one of Max Luccadas books and when I say one I mean it is the only one I have ever read . The man has written hundreds of books . It seems like he has a new book every month . In one chapter ( Of Calluses and Compassion ) of this book, Max goes on to tell of a famous painting of Holman Hunt and I know everybody has seen it .

The picture is of Jesus standing at a door and knocking . Nothing special you might ask, but if you can look closer, you will notice that there is no handle on the outside of the door . Weird, right ? Not really .
The picture is a representation of what it's like when Jesus decides to come into our hearts . He doesn't force His way in, although I will admit it sometimes would be better that way . He just stands there knocking and waiting, knocking and waiting, knocking and wai....You get the idea .
He will ONLY enter when we open the door from the inside .He gives us the choice to let Him in and when we do our world will never be the same .
I have recently come across some areas in my own life that have made me stop and think .Some areas that I know God wants me to get off my chest, but my pride is a powerful monster . I also know that God is bigger than these " monsters " and all I need to do is let Him take them and throw them away into the sea of forgetfulness .
